First came the "Classic Roc". So named now because it set a benchmark
for all discs from that time and for all discs yet to come. The Roc was
born from the days of San Marino engraving and Innova setting the
standards for consummate play and disc golf perfection. It came from
this early success of the Roc that the next generation was born. Enter
the 1988 San Marino Roc. 20 years later, Innova Champion Discs
re-releases this classic mold with a final offering of the last in a
series of discs benefiting the 2008 Japan Open.
The special Sakura or "Cherry Blossom" disc art brings to the disc golf
world one of Japan's oldest traditions. The Cherry Blossom is a rite of
Spring, or the coming of a season filled with tranquility and
happiness. Known in Japan as Sakura or Hanami, the Japanese enjoy the
new years' warm weather in the shade of this peaceful setting which can
only be found in Japan. In a very limited release, you can own one of
these discs surely to be a collector's favorite.
