Welcome to the 2010 Japan Open presented by Hero Disc and Innova Champion Discs, Inc. Please review the schedule for this grand event.  A special addition to this years' schedule is the

Second Annual Hero and Towa Pure Cottages

Pre-Tournament.

This will be a challenging professional style course. Players choosing to arrive a few days early may challenge this course. Scheduled for Saturday June 5th and Sunday June 6th, players can play in a tournament on this course and have an excellent chance to play a warm up event before the 2010 Japan Open.  

Friday June 4th

Arrive at Narita.  Please check with Hero Staff for information concerning transportation to Towa Pure Cottage

Saturday, June 5th 

 Morning    Buffet breakfast for registered guests 

  Inaugural Pre Japan Open Disc Golf Tournament at Towa Pure Cottages  Official times and complete schedule to be announced.

Details:      Saturday and Sunday   

    Yen 5,000 entry includes lunch for both days
    Prize money and trophies
    12 hole format

Evening:    Dinner at Towa Pure Cottages for registered guests  

Sunday, June 6th

Monday, June 7th

Morning    Buffet breakfast for registered guests
   
    For international players arriving at Narita early Monday, please see notes section below**
   
1 to 5pm    Official practice (course opening day) at Nasu Highlands Golf Club (golf cart included)
    Clubhouse restaurant open for lunch (player's responsibility)
    Limited Japan Open shuttle bus service from the Cottages to the course begins

     Hero Shuttle Bus** departs from Narita at 7pm for Towa Pure Cottages
   
Evening    Dinner at Towa Pure Cottages for registered guests
    (players taking Narita bus will not have Cottage dinner due to late arrival)

Tuesday, June 8th

Morning    Buffet breakfast for registered guests
   
9am to 5    Official practice (course open) at Nasu Highlands Golf Club
    Clubhouse restaurant open for lunch (player's responsibility)
    Japan Open shuttle bus service from the Cottages to the course continues
    Hero Shuttle Bus* departs from Narita at 7pm for Towa Pure Cottages
   
Evening    Dinner at Towa Pure Cottages for registered guests

Wednesday, June 9th

6:30pm    Opening Ceremonies at Nasu Highland Amusement Park Food Court
   
Dinner    Nasu Highland Amusement Park Food Court following Opening Ceremonies
    (Yen 5,000 fee for non registered guests at the Towa Pure Cottages) 

Thursday, June 10th

Morning    Buffet breakfast for registered guests
   
    Player check in at Nasu Highlands Golf Club before round begins
    Pick up Japan Open Player's Package at check in
    Japan Open shuttle bus service from the Cottages to the course every 30 minutes
    Main Hero Pro Shop & Display Room opens Nasu Highlands Golf Club
    Hero Cottage Pro Shop opens
    1st round starts, tee times, 1st round 27 holes (PoolA and B)                                                                                                                       Note: Pool A and B will be determined by player ratings.  Highest ratings will play in       
Pool A, holes 1 thru 27.  Pool B will play holes 14 thru 27, take lunch break, and       
play holes 1-13.

    Final 9 holes for top 4 Men's and Women's Divisions
    Awards Ceremony for Men's and Women's Champions immediately after finals
   
Evening    Awards party and Closing Ceremony at Nasu Highlands Food Court
 

Sunday, June 13th

    For travelers planning an early departure Sunday morning for the airport, please check
    with Sam* or Eileen* to arrange your transportation to Narita.

Activities    Players and their family/friends are invited to choose any of the activities planned. 
    Please sign up and pay for your activity at player registration
    If guests want to check out and venture out on their own, please make sure that you
    have arrangements planned for yourself and your Cottage reservation is correct.*
   
    Note: For activities, please sign up before event at Nasu Highlands Golf Club with cash. 

Fun Plan 1    Nikko Shrine Tour- Enjoy the famous Nikko Shrine. 

Bus transportation and shopping time is included in the plan.  Participants may choose their own lunch at our selected restaurant (not included in fee)

One free pass will be in each player's package. For special rides, a small fee to ride may be charged.  Lunch is guest's responsibility.

Monday, June 14th

Departure    Depending on player's departing flight schedules, two Hero buses will provide return transportation back to Narita for their departing flights at no cost.

Players staying at the official host lodging will receive full use of the facilities,       
which includes buffet breakfast and dinner, access to the hot spring/sauna,       
tennis, ping pong, and karaoke.  On site putting practice and warm up field.         
In addition, the first cement tee pad course       
will be available for practice and the inaugural pre Japan Open disc golf       
tournament.  The Towa Pure Cottages has released land directly behind the       
lodging center.  Hero and JPDGA staff have designed a new 9 hole       
lay out.  Per day cost for lodging at the Pure Cottages is $100 per person.***       
Dinner includes soft drinks and Asahi Super Dry beer.       
***A 50% per day cancellation fee applies to registered guests who cancel any reserved days.       
       
***Guests who cancel any reserved days will be charged a 50% per day cancellation fee.       
If guests venture out on their own after check out, they will be responsible for their own       
transportation to the airport.
